Angel is just a small ignored girl. Her mother hardly notices her. Her mom's boyfriend doesn't even know she exists. The other children in the village can't hear her. The adults in the village don't care. Angel continues to tell herself that she doesn't need their attention, but deep down she really wants a friend that can see her. Finally her wish is fulfilled, when a brilliant light shines across the sky. Only Angel noticed it and that's when she met her only friend. A Fallen Shadow, Serenity.
