{full version to my oneshot} Frank has suffered from Peter Pan Syndrome since he was eight years old. Now grown up, Gerard takes care of him but what happens when something changes in Frank's mind?

After certain events that lead Frank in the hospital, he thinks he's never, ever going to be happy ever again. He knew this long ago, but his naive self thought that maybe he'd have just one more shot, that maybe God would give him mercy, but he was wrong. Everyone said it was for his own good, but Frank knew it was because everyone had given up on him, especially his mother, the one who sent him there after his failed suicide attempt. But when he meets another boy at the hospital, who's given him another shot at love and happiness, he thinks he might actually make it. Frerard AU. Frank Iero. Gerard Way. My Chemical Romance. Then his life was pretty much threatened by one of the most dangerous kids in school. Gerard got mad easily-and when he got mad, you would fear for your life (well, probably not literally) but he was dangerous and got mad easily and all the time. Maybe it got out of hand when he wound up putting an innocent kid in the hospital almost killing him. Everyone scared of Gerard. Except maybe one kid. (Sorry, I just had to write another one; even though I know I'll regret it)

Frank Iero is a fuck up. He hates his life, he hates his school, he hates his mom, and he's determined to leave, starting a new, happier life. He's tried for years, but can never escape for more than a few days. He's simply another delinquent runaway. But he meets someone new; someone unlike anyone he's ever met before that seems to care about him. His name is Gerard. After turning Frank in, he must regain his trust and try to help him. But can he make an affect on Frank's life in time, or will he push Gerard away and do the unthinkable?

Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? (Technically a sequel to Summertime, but I wouldn't say you need to have read Summertime to understand and enjoy this)

One day when Gerard is out at the movies with his brother, he runs into Frank, who happens to work at the movie theater. Gerard is mesmerized by Frank and wants to get to know him. So he ends up getting a job at the movie theater. Gerard and Frank become close,but will the darkness of their pasts pull them apart?

Frank has schizophrenia and feels his life is falling apart until he meets Gerard, a sweet extrovert who shows Frank the world isn't as scary as he perceives it. Frerard AU, tw for self harm, mental illness, hallucinations.
