Kokichi Oma is the heir apparent of the entire Oma kingdom, the most powerful in all the land. All his life he's been isolated from anyone his age besides his fraternal twin, Celestia, and princesses from faraway lands his family are attempting to court him with. All he wants is a companion, someone other than his sister, someone he can actually be close with and isn't expected to marry simply for the integrity of the kingdom. 
Shuichi Saihara is one of the workers at the castle and is little more than a servant, expect to keep the castle in good condition and do whatever he's ordered to, having accepted his lower status as little more than a part of life. He wants a friend just as much as his royal counterpart, being the only person besides the sovereign children- who he is forbidden to interact with- that is his age. 
What will happen when the two, isolated all their lives and forced to stay apart, suddenly end up growing close?
