This story takes place after Lily's death.
Severus and his best friend Emily had been friends for as long as they could remember, back when they were students at Hogwarts themselves. Emily was a kind person and always spent time with Severus Snape.
But time flew by and they got older, Snape becoming a Professor at Hogwarts while Emily got married to her high school sweetheart Adam a man that Severus introduced her to, and eventually the couple had a daughter named Darcy.
Snape even in adulthood was still around his best friend Emily and even saw his best friends daughter a few times, he was glad to have Emily Lavender as his friend because she used to try and get Severus with Lily Evans when they were younger and she was even there for the man when the news came that Lily and James Potter had been murdered.
Severus never got over his lost love but was able to move on because of Emily but on the day of Darcy's 12th birthday not only was her life turned upside down but it was also the same day that Severus's world came crashing down around him.
How will things go for both Darcy and Snape? And what happened to make their worlds change forever?
