Aerin was a simple commoner. She was very skilled with a bow, and had a very firey temper. She hunted food for her family, and since she was the eldest, responsibility fell upon her. One day, the Mirkwood Prince Legolas was scouting through Mirkwood when he saw Aerin shoot a stag from very far away. One thing led to another, and she was accepted in the house of Thranduil to teach archery to new warriors. Thranduil watched and learned about this new elleth in his palace, and slowly (not showing it, of course,) he grew fond of her. But his dreadful past held him back. Would he be able to fully move on from his previous wife's passing? Or would he not?

When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart. 12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement.
