On a lone and dilapidated highway in rural California, her lover lost his life. The highway sets no records or makes any top ten most dangerous lists, but Highway 89 is infamous among the locals for being a screaming metal deathtrap. With its slick icy roads, hairpin turns, a 100-foot ravine with a rushing white water river at its basin, and steep mountains prone to rockslides, the highway had claimed many lives throughout the years.
