Liang Meili was Seung Nyang's younger half-sister, She never knew who or where her father is yet all she has left of him was a necklace that matches her father's and a family name Liang. Meili and Nyang wandered around the city as a beggar disguised as boys in search of Nyang's father knowing that perhaps he might know Meili's father, but the search was fruitless. Until they encountered Wang Go, a royal who was the likely candidate in favour of Yuan as the next Goryeo king. Nyang introduced herself as Seung Nyang while Meili introduced herself as Seung Myung. Nyung vow to avenge their mother, find their fathers and protect her little sister Meili.

Seung Nyang becomes an expert archer, also known as The Jackal, while Meili becomes an expert swordswoman, also known as The Sparrow. After they helped Wang Yoo and joined the army, they both retry to look for Meili's father since Seung Nyung finally found her father since he turned out to be the commander in Inju, when they heard that the crown prince Ta-hwan had been exiled to Goryeo. Will Meili ever get a chance to find her father and avenge their mother's death or does fate have something in store for her...
