What was meant to be an easy quest in a woodland mansion goes wrong and the encounter with its magical inhabitants leaves Dream cursed so that anyone who sees his face will instantly fall in love with him. Now it's up to George to save his best friend before the curse turns deadly. Can he break the curse without his own feelings getting in the way? A realistic medieval minecraft au that I haven't really thought out too well. This is mostly about exploring the relationship between Dream and George because I think they have a very beautiful friendship. Originally posted and completed on ao3 because I didn't have a cover for wattpad. The plan was for me to draw a cool cover because I like to think I'm a pretty good artist, but I'm also lazy so here's a stock photo I put text over. Throughout his time locked up in the Pandora's Vault prison, there have only been two constants in Dream's life. Regular torture at the hands of Quackity... and Sam's gentle care following it. Lonely and tormented, Dream finds himself falling for the warden who has looked after him for so long. When Sam saves Dream from dying in a particularly horrendous torture session, Dream becomes more convinced than ever that Sam loves him too. Now he just has to encourage his beloved warden to admit it. Fic is about characters, not content creators. Please mind all tags, while this has some fluff it will also delve into dark territory involving graphic violence, torture, and sexual content that may verge on dubcon. Dream struggles to fight off Nightmare who is taking over him, making him hurt those he loves and kill. At first he convinces himself he's being destructive and evil for George, so that George will never be in danger and could do what he wants but it is soon made clear Dream is not the one making the decisions over his own actions. Set as if Minecraft was real with canon lives. Occasional Sapnap POV and George POV. A lot of dialogue for the first chapters was taken from several streams but after that it is made up including the story. Songs are incorporated but don't need to be listened to, to read. Sam is the warden, he swore to protect everyone on the server from the monster inside the vault. But with each Quackity's visit it's harder and harder to see the lone prisoner as a monster. And Sam founds himself wondering. Is the real monster the one inside the box or the one he let's in? George can't sleep. His dreams that once comfort him are now only painful reminders of what he lost. And when he once again founds himself before Pandora's vault he decides to step in. He wasn't ready for what he founds. Dream is hurting. He's been for months. Or at least he thinks so, he lost sense of time long ago. He can't remember the sun anymore, he can barely remember the faces of his once friends that he lost. So when George appears in his cell he brushes it of as another hallucination.
