A long time after Kion married Queen Rani, crowned as King from the Tree of Life. Simba and Nala resigned because of their age. This leads to Kiara being crowned queen and Kovu king of the Pridelands.
At the same Time the Light Kindom had a problem with a group of evil Lions, but they don't know who they really are and what they want from them.

Kiongozi, prince of the Pridelands, 3rd cub to Nala and Simba, Leader of the Lion Guard, and defender of the kingdom, was always neglected by his father. He did everything for his family, and they still treated him like a nobody. The Lion Guard wasn't any better.
