One day Celebi returned to the forest she call home, only to find a dead baby at the foot of her shrine. Taking pity of the child's fate, Celebi go back in time to save the child before she could meet her end. She called the girl Paradox and raised her as her own daughter.
Sixteen years have passed since then and Paradox is getting ready to finally leave Ilex Forest behind in search of her best friend and crush she hasn't seen in two years, Maple the Vulpix. This will lead her on a journey of self discovery. As she learn what it means to be human. Along the way she might also realise that changing the fate of someone has consequences...

There is more to Kalos than what meets the eye. Beneath the pristine surface of the region and the kingdom lie various concerns bubbling to the surface. Discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and dangerous Pokémon become quite noticeable over time.
