(First book of the trilogy) Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy. Shuichi. He was one of the mean people to Kokichi but after seeing him like that,he wanted to help. Will Kokichi trust Shuichi after all he's done? Will their relationship blossom into something more than friends? (By the way,everyone is trying to figure out how to get out of the dome they are trapped in,there's no killing,Monokuma just traps them their for fun and he's their to watch over them.)
