Brother of Cayde-6, friend of all guardians, the one said to be closest to the light, was once bathed in the darkness. After the death of his brother, he disappeared in search of his killer. Not even the ghost could find him, his light wasn't gone like they thought. It was corrupted, at first, soon he became a hybrid. A child of the light and the darkness. This was unheard of, thought to be impossible. Only by putting down the man who killed his brother and mediating for a VERY long time, did he finally reach a balance within himself. He became a one man fire team, something even the Vex feared. He destroyed raids, he destroyed strikes, he dominated the gambit and crucible, he even made the iron banner look like a cake walk. Too bad, he almost never said a word since his return. His voice is only a faint memory now. Ikora and Zavala deem him the only Guardian capable of taking the mission on Remnant, let's see how he handles it.

But he also meets someone he ends up potentially falling in love with, a girl who is exactly his Guardian age of sixteen, the girl however... is an alien, a "Kryptonian". With his accidental arrival to this "New Earth" dimension, things begin to change as his influence stays within it, as the battle between Light and Dark begins to break into this other Earth, bringing forth new enemies for these heroes to face, but all too familiar enemies for the Guardian to face once again, along with his own allies to assist him and his new-found friends and allies. "You're not brave, you've merely forgotten the fear of death...Allow me to reacquaint you." The words wouldn't leave her head... Ghaul's mocking tone, the way he looked down at her like she was nothing but an ant beneath his boot with his eyes narrowed and stance radiating a smug triumph that made the Young Wolf grit her teeth and clench her jaw even days after the fact. His words though wasn't what caused her anger, even if they did send a pang of, something through her body. She ignored that (like she always did) and focused on the matter at hand for now, (for her feelings didn't matter; they never would.) Ghaul had invaded her home, the home of her people and captured the Traveler right from under their noses. He slaughtered her people, killed all who hadn't evacuated and he not once cared for the amount of innocent lives he took. The blood of men, women and children who just wanted to live in peace... He had killed all who stood in his way, and The Guardian hadn't been able to stop him from doing so... She had failed...she was right there before him and had fallen down on her knees, too exhausted to get back up and fight without her Light. (She was Weak...a failure...a coward...) The Titan could still feel the phantom pain coursing through her body in the aftermath of the attack, when she had woken up barely alive without her powers back in the city but now, sitting around her small camp as she finally took a break after days of walking that did nothing but fuel her anger. The Golden Age- When the Traveler arrived, a time of peace, prosperity, and infinite possibility sprouted from Earth. Fast forward to the beginning of our age- The City Age- With His dying breath, The Traveler created the Ghost- small machines that can revive those capable of wielding the Light- His Power- and fight the Darkness. The Hunters scout out terrain, reclaim Dead Zones, and are the eyes and ears of the City- the Warlocks research the secrets of the fundamental ideas of the Darkness, predict future events, and enthrall themselves in the workings of the Light to understand it and to find new ways to work it into the Guardians arsenal- and finally, the Titans, Defenders of the Last City, and the burning lights of hope in the shadows. Olympus was attacked by the darkness. All the gods died trying to defend themselves. Even Zeus was powerless. The Olympians died and a new God came. The Traveler. With his light he created the Guardians. Dead people were reborn as guardians and with Traveler's light they go against the darkness. But darkness is really powerful and the Traveler needs help. So, he creates a special ghost. A ghost looking like the others but far more powerful. A ghost which is fated to reborn a God. Artemis, one of the most powerful Olympians, daughter of Zeus and Lyto, big Apollo's twin sister, Goddess of the Hunt is reborn by that ghost. They both know nothing about their powers, their past or their destiny. Artemis, like all the Guardians, forgets her past. She doesn't hate men and she remembers nothing about her virginity vow. With the other gods dead, this oath means nothing.
