I've received many messages over the years asking for advice on how to write Ouran High School Host Club fanfiction, so I've decided to write a manual for all of those who are interested. In this I'll talk about the most common mistakes and tropes I see the most in OHSHC fanfic's.

Disclaimer: This is not me calling out any fellow writers, I have read some amazing fanfiction over the years that have included the things I'll mention. For me however, I notice there are some things that a lot of new writers don't pick up on. I have been writing fanfiction since my early tweens and in those 8 years I have made so many of these mistakes, and wrote the most corniest fanfiction out there so believe me when I say there is no judgement :)All Rights Reserved

First off, I have this to say Ouran High School Host Club doesn't belong to me. I honestly thought going to a stupid rich people school would at least be an adventure but literally I never thought I'd be dragged into a club let alone an HOST club with my little twin sister (by five minutes) Haruhi Fujioka. Haruhi is a simple person and I love her for it but compared to us as twins we are complete opposites although I am as smart as her thus we got the scholarships to the most prestigious private school in Japan. Ouran Academy, ugh! What the heck did I get dragged into?! Oh, sorry, I got caught in the moment . Anyway, I am (Y/n) Fujioka, and like my sister, we don't care if we classified as girls, let alone boys, cause who honestly cares! I am a singer (privately!), a bookworm, and a kind-hearted person, but I'll rip your head off if you even mess with my family or friends, and that's a promise. A secret shame of my own is: I'm a otaku, I have manga, anime seasons dvds/blu-rays, games, and of course cosplay costumes which i hand make. FYI!
