Ara is learning how to cope with her fear of society. Or at least to control the effect of the medication that makes her feel like that. While Ara struggles with that she meets Mon. In the midst of horrible theoretical brain explosions and the struggle to meet up to the expectations of the people around them, Ara and Mon form a connection.
But both Mon and Ara struggle with people in society.
