[Original Description]
Link has finally returned to Hyrule after being forced by the Hyrule goddesses to sit aside for seven years so that time itself can continue to flow smoothly. And naturally everyone is excited over the return of the Hero of Time, especially Princess Zelda. When Link tells Zelda of his journeys through other lands, one of those tales becomes all too real for the princess. What is it? Only one way to find out!

To reiterate, this story isn't mine. It was written by someone going by the name "Grey" on VGGTS World all the way back in 2005 while the site was still active. While I don't possess ownership of this work and all credit goes to the original creator, I decided to upload it here because I wanted more people to read it, as i don't think too many people did untill now, which is a shame because I personally found it pretty good.

If there's a need for this to be taken down, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to comply.

What if Mipha put her love for Link and concern for Zelda ahead of Daruk's plan to rush to her Divine Beast? This story takes place in an AU that begins on the day of the Great Calamity. There is no time travel and the sequel to this story is "Love in Zora's Domain". This is a work of fan fiction using characters and events from the world of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is owned and copyrighted by Nintendo. I obviously do not claim any ownership of the world or its characters. This writing is a work of my imagination and is for entertainment only. It is not part of the official Nintendo storyline. Spoiler Warning: This story has spoilers if you have not completed the game including the expansion packs. I would like to clarify my approach to managing comments. I welcome all feedback, both positive and negative, as long as it's expressed respectfully. Comments containing offensive language will be removed, as they do not align with the intended tone of my narratives or the expectations of our audience. Constructive criticism and questions about certain choices in the storyline are appreciated and respected. However, I find it tiresome and unproductive when individuals use comments to disparage one plot element after another, chapter by chapter, indicating their fundamental displeasure with many aspects of the story. I hope it's clear these stories are a work of my imagination about hypothetical events in a fictional world. Obviously your vision or interpretation of possible events may differ. To those readers who find so much fault with the stories that they're compelled to deluge us with negative comments, I would politely suggest they move on to stories more to their liking. I have no intention of rewriting mine.
