Set in modern times of both the human and demon realms, Chu Sui lives a life that usually takes a toll on her. But she must rule by her own means lest everything she's built is undermined by those who do not accept her as the demon empress. She didn't choose to be a demon; she once lived a life of genuine happiness, although it took a turn for the worst.

She's lived as an Empress, Doctor, Noble lady, Assassin, Slave and even a Dancer. She had so many identities, so many faces and life times that she didn't even remember what her first life was about, nor could she remember her name. Yet now, having given all that she could, fighting through the night until her last breath surrounded by enemies on all sides. Even with her vision starting to blur, there was no hints of fear in her eyes. 'Please just let me die.' Praying to the Gods above, she only hoped that when she closed her eyes, this time, they would never open again. But it did. "FUCK!" She cursed at the Gods above! Reborn into the body of an orphaned daughter? No problem, what she had was wealth and honorary title that her father had left behind! Married into an infamous Generals' manor? Fine! As long as he doesn't disturb her, he is just another big money tree for her to take shelter under! This time she was determined to lead a lazy and peaceful life, taking a break from "living". But why does it seems that God had other plans for her. Things weren't as simple as they turned out to be.
