Good against Evil, Light versus Darkness, Angels opposing Demons. Such is the nature of morality in the world, and many such battles go unseen by mortal eyes. Raefiel, a young Seraph, has been ostracized for centuries after his father was discovered to have coupled with a demon and sired a Nephilim, and was summarily executed and his elder half-brother Kade was banished from Heaven. There are those in heaven who cannot forgive his father's choice and his brother's origins, but only time will tell what will come from those grudges. Kade lives on his own in a secluded grove, hidden away in the World of Mist, only the creatures of nature and legend, and the letters from his half brother to keep him company. The small cabin he calls home holds only his bed, a table, a mantle, and his bow Duet. Daily he ventures into the mist, to check on his draconic neighbor, and to watch for a day coming far sooner than many would like. Claire Lawson is a young Biology Major living in California. When she was younger, she often found herself seeing things others could not, but sees these to be mere childhood imaginations. Soon, she will come to see that what she experienced as a child were far more real than she has believed. *Warning!* The following content features blood and the more spiritual nature of this story may make some readers uncomfortable. She learns that she carries the gate key to Heaven. As she learns to accept her new powers, she finds herself to be the center of attention between two feuding brothers. Elias portrays the dark, twisted, and selfish demon, and Julian is the demon who appears to be praying for redemption. Clara's heart becomes conflicted as the truth about the brother's past is revealed. It turns out, no one is who they pretend to be. Elias' dark mirage covers up the grief and pain from the life that he was forced into, and Julian's kind gestures hides the truth of his intentions. Once her enemy catches up with her, she is faced with a choice; the life of her true love or her own... Part 2: Beholden Elias is broken and empty without the love of his life. With his determination to use his new powers as the Key Holder, he gathers Julian, Quinn, Ashley, and Troy on a quest to resurrect Clara. They are on the hunt to find the Locket of Paradise, but in order to retrieve it, they must travel through the Hollow Grounds. No demon has ever survived this realm, but Elias was no longer an ordinary demon. He was different. He was changed. Once Elias succeeds in bringing back Clara, her heart seems to be shifted. Clara feels a strong connection with Elias, as if they are bound together. The connection is so strong that it controls her actions and she desperately wants to fall into his arms, but her love for him has consequences. The Underworld and Heaven despises anything that represents the integration between good and evil, and their decisions will cause a war. Is it worth the risk?
