A modern Singaporean narrative on what it means to have loved and lost. Renee has spent most of her life pursuing her checklist of achievements, with marriage as her number one goal. At 34 and after seven years of marriage, she finds herself divorced and alone. Renee is heartbroken, and reeling from the aftermath of a failed marriage. She wonders, what will life be like as a divorcee in a largely conservative Singapore? Is she ready to go back into the dating world, with swipes instead of face-to-face meet-ups as a first instance? An exploration of the unexpected twists and turns when relationships run their course, and finding strength and healing through this journey of self-love and discovery.

An autobiographical tale of love, hope, and perseverance, my debut novel begins at the moment of my cruelest heartache that left me stunned and confused. In order to understand and deal with what happened, I take a darkly comic journey back through my life, examining more than 50 moments of true love, epic gestures, romance and foolish decisions. From tear -jerking stories, to heartbreaking awkward hilarity, the book reveals stories of my greatest loves to life changing moments with strangers. It's a story about living life against all the odds (and rules)and ultimately a story about hope because sometimes bad lives, happen to good people. The book evokes two forms of storytelling, a story being told in real time, and flashbacks over my life, with both timeline finally meeting up in one moment that changes everything.
