You only realised that the tears had started up again once you spotted the darkening patches of concrete below you, just before your vision became too blurred to see as they cascaded down your cheeks uncontrollably.

"Then why am I still alive?" You asked through a jaw clenched so tightly you were sure your teeth would break.
