[second person point of view]
Y/N grew up in South Korea, dreaming to become a singer. She soon achieved that dream after years of working since young. She was an independent artist with no Label at first, but later in her career, she signed to a Label as an artist. During that time period, she explored many different cultures in the music industry. She became friends with many other artists, including K-Pop idols. She also collaborated with a few and made wonderful music. In that process, she learnt a lot about the stigma created in the K-Pop industry, via her friends. The culture of K-Pop really frustrated her, and she wanted to bring a change in this culture. The thing was, it was harder than it seemed like. She was always motivated by songs like "21st Century Girls" by BTS and "Only The Young" by Taylor Swift, and kept moving on, in order to achieve her goal. Hate, death threats and more kept coming at her, but was she strong enough to avoid them? At a point of time it was becoming too much that she wanted to give up. However, she was determined and told herself that giving up is not in her blood. She uses a set of self-constructed methods to reach her aim. Will she be able to bring the change or will have to leave it? What are these clever methods she uses?
This is a very serious story, in which the real world's truths are discussed. K-Pop idols, especially female idols, are severely pressurised to look like a typical idol. This is something that has to change. I don't know how fast this message will spread, but maybe this story helps bring a change in people's mindset. Being in India, this is probably the most I can do to improve the K-Pop culture. I am very sorry, but I am including the death of certain idols along with this story. This story is also slightly a j-hope fanfiction. I wanted to make it a little bit romantic too, while Y/N is dealing with the issues.
[23.12.2020] The same day this thought even developed inside me.
