What about the princesses who find that their happily ever after is a lie dressed in silk? That their once upon a time is really an agonising spread of years that does not end in love?
This is a short story of a woman who was not locked in a tower but has never been free.

Once upon a time, there were four princes. They did not ride on pristine white horses but on black beasts stained with blood. They were infamous for cunning skills and haunting eyes. A part of their own stories, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Belle all struggle with their own demons, as their stories are not as sweet as they were once told. Their true stories are filled with deadly princes and poisons not always put in apples.
