The floating castle of Aincrad is a wonderful place. 

It's filled with people and monsters who were designed for others to enjoy, to fulfil the desires of every gamer in the world. But when Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of Aincrad, traps ten thousand players inside of his world, a whole new adventure unfolds. Tales of Aincrad focuses on three new characters with very different stories. The first is a girl who is lost and without hope, the second is a man who discovers the dark undertone of his new world and the third, is a boy who has lost sight of the world he truly belongs in.

These three tales will allow you to experience their struggles and through them you will see how such a wonderful place... can change you for the better and for the worse.

This is a retelling of the "Fairy Dance Arc" from "Sword Art Online." Since the "Sword Art Online Progressive" movie is dropping this year, I thought it was perfect timing to write my own version of this arc with my own twist on it. The story focuses on Kirito waking up after beating the death game of "Sword Art Online" and learning that Asuna isn't awake, yet. Not being able to handle the guilt, he loses all of the swagger and confidence that he once had in the original game. Kirito learns that Asuna is in a different VR world and with the help of his friends and sister, he must save Asuna from a threat unlike anything that he faced in the original "Sword Art Online."
