A Plunge into Icy Waters

They came for me on the bridge after school.
Losing both my dad and my ability to speak, along with having to attend a new school, was a numbing new reality.
But it was after that first day of school when I met the brothers on the bridge...
This short story is based off of a Christmas novel I wrote in 2020.
