This is the story of a 24 year old girl with a dark past, but a bright future. When Londyn turned 14, this band called One Direction was formed. They released a song called What Makes You Beautiful 3 days after she turned 14, and her dad showed her the music video. She owes everything to her dad for helping her find her passion. Because when she first saw those boys she said, "I wanna do what they do." Her parents always wanted her out of the spotlight, never paid much attention to her, it was always her older more successful brother Kaden, who had straight A's and was a quarterback on the football team, and even got a scholarship to Stanford. Then there's her older sister Maya who was allowed to go out for sports, and hang out with friends, while every time she wanted to go out and play Football on the high school team, her parents looked at her and laughed. And then there's her little sister Jesy, who was 7, and got whatever she wanted, grew up without getting in trouble, never having to be sent to "the corner" and we all know that experience yikes. Londyn was pulled out of public school for no reason at all, her parents said, "It'll give you more opportunity." But her opportunity was in the music groups in her Middle School and High School. Londyn never had an grade 8 graduation, nor did she start high school in grade 9. She had her best friend Shawn and music which got her through the torture of not being allowed to do anything like her siblings. Londyn's life got better after she moved to Connecticut to attend Berklee, college of music, which she would be graduating from this year, her music teacher Mr. Saxon, gave her the opportunity of a lifetime. A chance to go audition for the world known show, America's Got Talent. Londyn had dreamt of going on the show since she was a wee lad, will her having psychological issues due to her youth that haven't fully healed yet cause chaotic mayhem? Or will it make her stand out amongst everyone else and change everything?
Directionators and Directioners: terms known well in the fan fiction, tumblr, twitter, and internet world. Those are the two distinct groups surrounding One Direction, but Marissa isn't either of those. Marissa is a Direction Hater. She can't stand to listen to their music, and she doesn't understand the hype surrounding the boys. They, afterall to Marissa, are just a phase the girls are going through. Within a months time Mariss thinks the crazed phase will pass, and everyone will be back to normal. After arriving at school one day, she is appalled to see that the boys are hosting a signing and concert on the last day of school at her school. Her best friend Bethany, is a senior and obsessed with One Direction, along with most of every other girl in the school. Marissa is sucked in by her best friend to help her with scrapbooks, and T-shirts for the last day of school. Bethany even persuades Marissa to go to the signing with her. During all the bustle, the boys take notice of Marissa, especially Niall. The boys try to make conversation with her, but she doesn't let them into her life. The boys are beyond confused. Most girls, fans or not, usually will talk to them or just say hi. The boys brush it off, but Niall doesn't. There is something different about this girl, something he's never seen before, and he's determined to get her to accept him and the band into her life. Will she let it happen?
