COVID...the pandemic entered our lives, the deadliest in a hundred years and caused a catastrophic change in our lives. It caused serious disruption of the economies all over the world and changed the way that we had lived earlier, drawing us out of our comfort zones.
But there is another side of the story too, small as it may appear. It made us introspect and reach out for some of the things in life that we always longed for, but never had the time nor the sufficient will to indulge in, often hiding behind the veil of pretense that we cover around ourselves. One of the most cherished things that emerged out of this dismal scenario is that many of us found the time and the appetite for the company of our most loved ones, chiefly our parents.

A rebellious teen fallen angel has arrived... what could go wrong?! od MacandCheese5150

Kit had died young, that much is a tragedy in itself. They had a bright future ahead of them. They were going to graduate high school. They were going to go and get a degree in biology. They were going to help preserve as much of the wildlife left on Earth. They had their whole life planned. Then they get a deadly virus that, because of their shit immune system, brought them to an early grave. They thankfully did make it to heaven. They quickly began a new life up in heaven. They made friends. They began to thrive up there in the fluffy clouds. They had a second chance at a bright future... until it all got thrown down the drain. Their foster mom always did say their short fuse would be the death of them. Now, Kit is in hell. A fallen angel that is also a minor. Not the best combination in this scenario. Thankfully, they get taken in by a certain princess with a heart of gold. Will they survive this new turn of events? ... oh, and the group gets to meet more of the great king of hell's family! Everything was going as planned in Brie's life till Covid-19 came. She was all set to go home, even got on a plane. But what happens when their stop over was the last destination they would go. She had no choice but to stay with the only person she knew in town. Charlie. Her brothers best friend, who she thought she hated but really, deep down always loved. Charlie had seen Brie since she was a toddler, always protected her and treated her like family. But then he grew up and realised that he was in love with this girl but could never act on the feelings. What will happen when both of them are quarantined together with no escape what so ever? --------------------------------------- "I just didn't think Brian would be happy with it, but now looking back I should have asked you.. Natalie Smith wasn't the best date." He chuckled. "Well you should have, I would have been the best date." I said when a pout, this was definitely the alcohol talking. "Ah don't pout bug. Like I said if I had the courage I would have, but like always I never really do. Even now." He said walking towards me. "What does that mean?" He came close and cupped my face in his hand. "I've been in love with you since fifth grade Brie. I know it's stupid, but it's true. Now I've just ruined our friendship and tomorrow I'll just blame it on the alcohol. The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. I might edit it someday, though. I had a decent idea when I started, but that quickly went out the window.

Those said people could be living the best they could, some ought to find a "cure". Through the journey we follow Leo who has just lost his family from the infected. He doesn't want to, but he needs to trust others in mean to survive. He came to trust Akari who was part of a group that took him in. A trustful bond that turned stronger. A bond that was as strong as veins pumping blood through a crazed beast.

It was a normal nation meeting. They held one annually at least 3 times a year. However, this meeting ended up turning the world on their heads. I lost my mom at 11, that's when it started. My dad became a drunk and I was left to take care of my 3-month-old baby sister. Now I'm 23, graduated a few years ago and my sister, now 12, can understand what happened. She never fully understood when I needed someone to and I didn't have many friends that stuck around afterwards. Until I met him. We were friends first, then the feelings got deeper. He asked me to be his girlfriend. He was my first kiss, first date, first real friend, first love, everything. I loved him and I do. I've said it. Now all we do is fight. I don't know why we can't figure things out, but I can't take this fighting. I just want things to go back to the way things were. The way we used to be... Happy, carefree teens that pretended we had the whole world figured out.

I was the first. I arrived in the Glade, and there was nothing and... no one. I remembered nothing about who I was, who my parents were, what happened. A few days I remembered my name, and that's it. That's all that ever came back. There were four walls surrounding me with only one exit. I wanted to go through, so I did, in hopes of finding my way out. What I found lurking on the other side was not an exit but something much worse. I found my way back, and I spent the next month fending for myself. Food, water, a temporary shelter. After a month, someone else arrived, and this person arrived with supplies. Every month a new person was sent up. Every arrival was the same as mine. They couldn't remember anything. I was the first one here, and that means that I call the shots, I make the rules, and I run the place.
