But wait oo, how is that my business? "So we have decided that you'll marry Eberechukwu here" I think I heard wrongly "Ehhh?" I asked, my face no doubt full of surprise. "What? Daddy no. Anyone but her" Kazeem replied I was tempted to make a daddy joke when he said daddy but this isn't the time. I turned to my mum who was seriously sweating. If this was a different case, I would have laughed at her but this is a serious matter so I couldn't laugh. After a while, I began laughing. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt. "Mummy what type of joke is this? Abeg ooo" I shook my head "It's not a joke" my mum replied with all seriousness and the reality of this dawned on me......... **************** Being forced to marry the rude and arrogant son of her mum's friend, Eberechukwu decided not to let the 'arrogant bastard' as she put it get to her or have any control over her. Follow her in this journey on how she deals with her arranged marriage.

She felt his warm palm on her wrist and at once she was facing him. Without warning, his lips engulfed hers, setting her on fire just like she did him. His lips were warm and soft and she revelled in it as she shut her eyes, her body instantly warming up to the kiss. She wrapped her arms around him, marvelling at how their bodies fit perfectly together. It felt so good, like her head was rotating. Nothing else mattered. Just the two of them. This was all she needed. Someone who accepted her for her. Her flaws, her beauty, herself, hook line and sinker. She withdrew reluctantly, angry she had to stop the kiss and also afraid someone had seen them. As she stared into his eager eyes, she knew she loved him but she couldn't help thinking she was doing the wrong thing. She loved him, but it wasn't fair to his girl. She could do anything, run, apologise, but she followed her heart. She drew him back and continued the kiss. A Nigerian themed story bound to leave you yearning for the next chapter.
