Lady Marinette Dupain, the daughter of the most powerful Duke of the Empire, woke up as a 16-year-old girl again after being tortured and killed at the age of 22. Believing that god has given her another chance at life, she decides to make things right and repent after living as an evil woman in her previous life.
And the first step to do that was to break off her engagement with the person whom she had hurt the most because of her obsessive and possessive love for him, the same person who hated her to his guts, the Crown Prince, Adrien Agreste.
But she never suspected that the new and better life she set out to live will come up with many surprises and changes that she never knew were possible for her.

"royalty is a dark curse under a jewelled veil" Marinette Dupain Cheng has secrets. Quite a lot of them, more than she should have. She is Ladybug; The Parisian superheroine that battles daily against powerful supervillains with her partner, her identity secured by a polka dotted mask. But while her partner is just like every other teenager under the mask, Marinette wears another facade beneath her alter-ego's magical suit. A Princess undercover as a Parisian teenager. The Princess of China. Forced to leave China due to the threat of rebels, the royal family of China camouflages under their disguise of being bakers. But their time of stepping back up in front of their people isn't far away as Princess Marinette's eighteenth birthday approaches. Along with her eighteenth birthday, comes Marinette's coronation. What happens when the Queen makes the mistake of sending the invitations of the coronation to Marinette's oblivious friends? And their plan of disappearing from France quietly goes down the drain as her friends follow them to China, making it harder to keep her identity a secret. Let's add boy troubles, liars, rich blonde brats, nosy friends, ready-to-kill rebels and oh, not to forget, a homicidal cousin. Sounds like a party, huh? Can Marinette sort things out in a messy whirlwind where every aspect of her life is thrown together to make a detestable mixture? [tw: strong language, mild violence, mentions of death and gore, panic attacks]

Marinette Dupain-Cheng is an average peasant girl growing up in a small village named Parisilia. It is strictly under the rule of King Gabriel. Since her father was murdered by the King's men years ago, she has learned to fend for herself with the help of her friend Alya. Living in the village isn't easy, especially when the taxes are raised and getting by is made increasingly difficult. So Marinette has to do something about it. But how could she as an average peasant girl? Her plan is to overthrow the kingdom. Feeing hopeless, Marinette nearly tosses aside this idea. On a cold and dreary night, when a fairy godmother grants her biggest wish, she has the ability to transform into Ladybug, a spotted hero who will demand change for the village. But she'll find that it's easier said than done when she unexpectedly meets Prince Adrien. Will Marinette ever have a happy ending without jeopardizing the lives of the ones she loves?
