A flooded world, 300 years from now.

What remains of humanity is living on one of the few islands. The tech recovery class at the local university gets a strange radio signal asking for help...and it does not seem to be coming from earth.

Even though they are forbidden from replying the message, Dawit and his friends do, and it takes them on a journey that will redefine what it means to be human.

Life is regulated by the City Code that governs all aspect of dress and behaviour. Fines and punishments for non-conformity are increasingly severe but people are trapped because everyone knows life outside the City is impossible...

two boys. two houses. two hearts. Seventeen-year-old 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 has a long stretch of boring, lonely summer ahead of him. So when a new boy his age moves in next door, he sees an opportunity -- for what, he doesn't quite know yet. Meanwhile, 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 just wants to move on from his haunting past and get a fresh start in his new home. He doesn't expect his new, annoyingly attractive neighbour to get in the way of that. Funny how time has a way of changing even the stubbornest of hearts. And, in the same way, has an awful way of breaking them. [mature for themes of self-harm and domestic violence]
