"Is Hermione the sun, George?" 

Hermione becomes widowed the day before her daughter's first birthday. A horrifying Auror accident, with little too no details to truly know what happened, Hermione is forced to moved on without answers. 

George is struggling to continue living without his twin, Fred, by his side. The things he once loved become too hard to bare, and he finds himself getting in more trouble than he knows how to handle. So, he builds himself a house. 

Brixham is a small fishing town, about a half hour drive from the Burrow. Eight minutes by broom. When George discovers that Hermione's rent is about to go up, he hands her a key.

One kiss to his lips took away the memories of the screams mine have held. One embrace could melt away the sadness of the thought that I'll never hug my father again. Because he knew, he knew how broken I was, yet he chose to love my broken pieces anyways, to help me pick them up, to help me keep what was not yet broken protected.
