Retelling the story of the great god Apollo and his great love, Hyacinthus. In Spartan Greece, Apollo is worshipped all across the land. They hail the son of Zeus, the god of the Sun, the slayer of Python, the voice of Delphi. Many have caught his eye, and many has he loved. A mortal prince is next on his list of swift lovers, and Apollo is intent on stealing his heart. However, the opposite happens, and he finds himself irrevocably, undeniably, in love with Hyacinthus. And hey, what could go wrong with that? WARNING: This contains mature themes, such as mentions of sexual activity, assault, and asshatery.

When I was young, I was always told that everyone loved a tragic Greek love story. Orpheus and Eurydice. Apollo and Hyacinth. Hero and Leander. Achilles and Patroclus. I had asked my mother why so many of those stories didn't have happy endings. She just gave me a grim smile and told me how the world of the gods was tricky. There was a lot about it that I didn't understand yet. That was 13 years ago. I think I understand it now.
