Kenya's news media The Star pre-announced that national authorities are now considering the addition of betting, lottery and game law revisions, which are now referred to as part of Finance Bill 2018. The ongoing debate on this issue recommends replacing the modern 35% gambling tax with 15% if the revenue from ideas increases within the Kenyan parliament.

The tax increase on gambling and betting offers offered in the United States has been changed to the closing year authorized as part of the 2017 Finance Bill. Kenya's President Uhuru signed a bill in June. The new tax rate took effect on January 1, 2018, raising complaints among those affected by the new regime.

Apart from a 35% tax on income from local customers, businesses certified in Kenya also pay 30% corporate tax and should contribute 25% of their income to special social causes, including sponsorship of sports activities.
