You just got your first broken heart and it sure felt like shit, you promised yourself that if you ever got into a relationship again you would make sure that person really loved you, which meant that if someone wanted to be with you they'd have to work really hard their way through your now so safe heart.
Oikawa is a guy who doesn't believe in relationships, he had watched their parents getting divorced and thank God they did because he was so tired of watching them fight all the time ever since he was a little kid, he never experienced or even saw real and unconditional love, he thought that it only existed in stupid and predictable romcoms.
