Why was that the question that everyone was asking me? Why did everyone want to know when everything changed? Who were they to assume this wasn't how it was in the very beginning? In all honesty, even I didn't fully know the answer.

Kali Brangwen was completely satisfied with her average life. She spent her days hanging out with her childhood best friend and living completely carefree. Nothing could go wrong for her.
Until she realized she had fallen in love with him.
After a heated night between the two, she realizes that not only has their relationship changed, but so has the rest of her life.
Because she wakes up the next morning with superpowers.
Kali's world quickly begins to fall apart as she tries to live up to everyone's hero expectations, and tries to figure out where her powers came from. And as her best friend pushes her to be everyone's hero, it drives a wedge between the two as he doesn't see how she is breaking down.
And she's not sure how long she can stay the hero when there's evil slowly growing in her veins.

Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it!
