SIGGY
"I've been waiting for you" his voice was coarse. I casually took a seat in front of him. "What is it you see? What do the gods have planned for me?" "First what in particular do you want to know?" I straightened my back and cleared my throat. "I, along with many other women, have always wanted to be a shieldmaiden like Lagertha. However, I realize I don't want to be my grandmother. I want to be a famous warrior like her. But I want to know if my name will be remembered?" The Seer was silent as he nodded his head. "You have honored your people with your success in Wessex. The gods smile upon you. However, you will come face to face with a missing part of your past. Your soul will face anger but also acceptance." There was a moment of silence between us. * * * * "The gods will always smile on brave women, like the Valkyries whose furies men fear and desire." - Seer Siggy is the daughter of Björn Ironside (the son of King Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield maiden Lagertha) and Porunn, a former slave. She was named after Earl Haraldson's wife (also Rollo's lover), who gave her life to save Ragnar's sons. Siggy is tenacious and daring. She has always had a strong bond with her father, since she never knew her mother and grew up learning how to fight from Björn and her grandmother, Lagertha. Her dream is to become a shieldmaiden and raid with her family. However, Siggy must face the obstacles of love and her heart breaking past to settle some family complications in order to make her dream a reality. ☾ 𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇, Odin imprisoned Hela, leaving a young girl without her mother. Alone in the universe, the girl learns to live in solitude, care deeply the few she holds dear, fight and fend for herself. She learns of the cruelties and the darkness, the monsters lurking in the shadows, all on her own. Many years later, the girl is now a woman. Strong. Beautiful. Fierce. 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘺. 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. She has accepted her place in the world, when it is all tipped off balance. Blonde hair, dashing blue eyes, tear stained cheeks and a torn dress. Book Three- Eira Ragnarsdottír: The Twin of Björn Ironside
"I used to believe that if you were family, you were accepted. The same went for your friends." I glanced over at Bjorn as he stared at the floor full of anger and regret, "In the past years, I have realized that this life is unforgiving-the gods are unforgiving." I sighed and placed my hand on top of his, "Like Father once said, unhappiness is far more common than happiness." New threats build as Ragnar Lothbrok rises to King of all Norway. Adventures rise and friend and foe both fall. Tragedy strikes when faith, trust, and friendship are tested. Life is about adaptation and choices, which will the House of Ragnar be forced to make. However, her Fate trembles beneath her feet when she crosses paths with the very son of Ragnar people fear the most. ❝Power is dangerous. It corrupts the best and attracts the worst.
