It was as if no time had passed since the beginning of the end. The decayed ruled the earth, their souls roaming aimlessly through the desolate ruins of a place we once called our home. They're doomed to a life of eternal hunger, unsatisfied by the flesh of the people they consume.

I face many obstacles between the here and Prince Edward Island. I'm dying, breast cancer the doctors said before the world went to shit, not to mention the three bullets left in this gun and the 5,740 kilometers between Vancouver to my parents and the rumored safe zone in PEI. It's a perilous journey, and I'm dead either way... I just hope I live long enough to see the sun rise over the horizon of the Gulf of St Lawrence one more time.

This story is written in a diary format, but as if it was an autobiography meant to be read. I am exploring a different kind of writing style and this is currently a rough project. I hope to post new entries every day or two, so follow along if you're enjoying and don't be shy to give some constructive criticism.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

Sex, sexual assault, assault, abusive relationship, obsessive and possessive behavior, depression, self-harm, suicide, violence, blood, gore, horror, murder, death, stalking, torture, harassment, drug usage, and strong language. I would like to thank @tofuu-chann for the original story idea of a sex-crazed apocalypse, as well as some details. I would also like to thank @tofuu-chann for creating and allowing me the use of Original Characters Nael and Seren. The cover was created utilizing Canva for editing purposes. It all starts in a lab with an acne medication trial. Then chaos ensues. Everyone is obsessed with sex and spreading their disease. Follow Kane, one of the original study participants, Jason, the crazed obsessive doctor, Colours, the object of Jason's obsession, and a bunch of sex-crazed, zombie-like people as they all try to navigate a new, darker world. Excerpt...A mewling sound and a weight on my lap awakens me. I am startled to find that a green haired, yellow eyed, pink faced woman is sitting on my lap straddling me. She leans forward and forces me into the most disgustingly fierce lip-lock that I have ever encountered. I struggle, but she won't let go. Right as her tongue forces its way into my mouth, I bite it off on instinct. She throws her head back in a scream. I flex my arms, breaking the restraints the rest of the way, and shove her as hard as I can. She falls off of me and slides over to the wall as I spit out her tongue onto the floor. She sits for a minute, then gets up and hurries toward me again. I hold my finger up and point at her, "Stop!" To my surprise, she comes to a hard stop and just stares at me. "How'd you do that?" Jason asks.

I am going to be making an entirely new book based on this same plot and similar characters... But I will not be a literal child when writing it. Hopefully it's much better lol. _________________________________ Book 1 of the Marks series! _________________________________ What if you fainted, and the place you left, the place you remember, is long gone? Instead you're stuck fighting for your life with the help of your classmates, who all remember everything. But you don't. Ava's twin is hiding something from her, and her best friend isn't the same person she remembers. Her school has been turned into some sort of military base and everyone is in uniform. She hasn't seen any adults, and half of her friends aren't around. What's going on? _____________________________ "I just want to know why. That's it. Why did all these people have to die? Why is it that people had to lose almost everyone they loved in one day? Why? It just doesn't- It isn't-" Dawson sank to his knees and put his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking violently. A sob left his lips, the agonizing sound pulling at my heartstrings. "Why is it that people change? That I'll never get to see..." His voice dragged away into the silent air. Everyone was long gone, having left after the ceremony. Dawson stayed where he was, silent tears running over his fingers and to the ground as his body shook with the force of his cries. ________ This book is based off of my friend Ava's dream.

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. REVISED EDITION COMING OUT MONTHLY/COMPLETED In a world overrun by zombies, A single bite heralds doom - except for Kaindra, who defies death itself, being undead already. ******** As humanity struggles to adapt to the new reality of zombies-infested streets and lurking supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends, survival becomes an ever-evolving challenge. Survival is a constant battle not only against the undead but also against supernatural creatures and their zealous followers. The relentless onslaught of zombies and the mysterious reemergence of mythical beings push society to its limits. Civilization's last bastions fall one by one, teetering on the brink of collapse. As these ancient myths awaken, they reveal intentions that are far from clear- some may hold the key to salvation, while others could herald further doom. The question remains: Can humanity unravel the mysteries of these legendary beings in time to save themselves, or will they fall prey to the very legends they once dismissed? ___ Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away. The reflection staring back at me feels unrecognizable. My once deep, dark brown eyes now glimmer with an otherworldly light, like twin moons suspended in a sea of silver. The faint glow within them swirls softly, catching the dim flicker of flame I summoned, like ripples across a moonlit lake. Their alien intensity sends a chill down my spine. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp. ___ Warning: Mentions of suicide and self-harm Beautiful cover made by @scmimi. When a single scratch means death, it is paramount you find someone to watch your back. Unfortunately, survivor Caroline Wolfe has never had this privilege. When the plague began to ravage the world as she knew it, she was left to fend for herself, forcing her into positions she never wished upon anyone. The plague broke out five years before, killing over 90% of the world's population. It turned those she thought she could trust into mindless, undead, monsters. Caroline was lucky to have made it out of Ottawa alive, thanks to the help of her childhood in the Yukon, learning how to fight and survive with more traditional weapons. When she finds herself trapped within the confines of an abandoned apartment complex in what was Caledon, she has to make a choice. Either face the undead alone or help the mysterious, accented, skull faced man she finds within. What she isn't expecting is to find someone she can lean on and, even, learn to love. .。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。. This is a Call Of Duty fanfiction, but it does not follow the plot of the games.
