In this AU, an old friend of Schlatt's (he used to work with him before his presidency) found Tommy during his exile and took him. Tommy trusted him because he believed he saved him from further depression qnd possible suicide. Though Schlatt's friend talked to Tubbo about this beforehand, and Tubbo agreed that he would need mental help before being let out of his exile.
At the 'mental ward', there were artificial hybrids. Or also known as experiments. Tommy made a few friends on the way, who had unfortunately passed while under their surgery. Gummy, Bear, The Triplets, and Hunter.
They all became good friends on their mental health journey, but soon had to join Tommy on his quest to burn the establishment down as ghosts.
During the surgeries, they were not put under anesthesia, therefore dying from extensive pain. Tommy, on the other hand, lived. Some were given multiple arms, some wings, fins, the list goes on.
Tommy was a spider, he was given 6 extra arms and two more eyes. His spit was his web.
