I loved you as Icarus loved the sun- too close, too much. The sun is lost, no longer in centre orbit, the light is gone. Darkness resides in hearts and in minds. Shattered beyond repair, the words we spat at the departing of light, plunging into darkness. How can you have no recollection? I screamed and cried looking at the sky. Rain drenching me. I felt him came and stood next to me. I looked at him. Rain drops dripping down his face from hair. His dark chocolate brown eyes looked so confused and clueless. His pulpy lips slightly parted. His dress getting wet and stick to him like a second skin. He cupped my face. "What happened Midhuna?" He asked me totally confused by my behaviour because I just recreated my first kiss I had with my boyfriend with my husband and he doesn't know it... "I... I'm scared" I whispered.. "scared of what?" He asked. "Scared of falling in love again" I said. He looked at me with a frown. "Again?" You trapped me in this marriage!" she shouted, her voice trembling with rage. "You manipulated me, married me, and now this?" she yelled, thrusting the test in front of his face. He stared at it in confusion, but as his eyes registered the two pink lines, understanding dawned. Slowly, a smile spread across his face. She's pregnant... She's carrying my baby... I'm going to be a father. His heart raced with happiness. His plan had worked. She threw the kit to the floor and began pounding her fists against his chest, sobbing, "Why? Why did you do this to me? What did I ever do to deserve this? You've ruined my life! I hate you... I hate you! And I will never forgive you!" A twisted, guilty joy stirred in his chest. As much as it hurt to see her like this, a selfish part of him felt victorious. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her-so he did what he had to do. If love wasn't enough to keep her, then maybe responsibility would be. At least now, she was tied to him... if not by choice, then by duty. He knew her parents would never let her walk away, not with a baby on the way. And maybe-the child could bring them closer. Maybe it could fix what he broke. He smirked, a dark thought creeping in.
