Leaf's Backstory- From Leaf to Midnight?

This is a story I made of my friend Midnight Yui/Cottencandy132's OC Leaf. She and I have worked together to create a world for Leaf, as well as starting on advancing that world by adding more characters and stories to make it more of a reality. In this story, there are twelve 'Mini-Chapters' to go through. You'll follow the protagonist Leaf through her first adventure, which consisted of her being taken to a lab, tested on, meeting new friends, and eventually moving onto the next.
I'll appreciate any criticism/feedback that I get on this piece and edit anything that needs it when I get the chance.

Hidden deep in the California valley is the Aves Department for the infamous C.R.O.S.S. Laboratories. Offered an internship this esteemed genetic research lab, biology graduate Aurora Hall felt like she was living the dream.
