It's a normal high school life for Trixie Hallows. Well, as normal as she can get in a school full of rich, spoiled kids who treat school like it's a kingdom to rule over. Her best and only two friends are the knights to the "King" of the school, Tyler Knight. She thought that Bryce and Justin never mentioned her name in front of the royals, the rich kids, until one stupid school project partners her with Tyler for a month. He instantly takes an interest in her, because he's heard great stories about 'Awesome Trixie' but Trixie never liked the idea of a King. She sees herself as more of a dragon flying around outside the castle, away from the monarchy. But she learns that Tyler seems to like dragons more than princesses.

Before she even realizes, this boy from a completely different world than her starts to grow on her, more than she ever thought could be possible. But breaking through the obstacles keeping them apart proves difficult. Can they ever become more than the rich boy with a guided future and the girl with nothing to her name?
