[FANFICTION / COMPLETED]

When the once peaceful city of London is overtaken by the dangers of the Second World War, a naïve, young Rose must find ways to distract herself from the constant worries of her father's welfare in the war. Whether it was by strolling about in the woods laying at the back of the gardens in her home, or getting wrapped up in one of her never ending daydreams - she sought for an escape of it all.

Perhaps getting whisked into the magical world of Narnia might have been what she was desperately searching for. Because, during a fateful night, a long-forgotten prophecy catches her eye.

Thus, an unlikely friendship with the boy she thought always hated her flourishes, along with the weight of being a queen's lady-in-waiting. All while she searched for a distraction from the war raging back in England.

The Pevensie siblings have ruled Narnia for many years. Narnia has entered its Golden Era, filled with peace and prosperity. However, a new threat is emerging. King Hakan of Telmar is threatening war with the Narnians unless some sort of agreement can be reached. In the pursuit of peace, King Edmund has crossed the lands to Telmar. Waiting for him is Yvaine Shula, a lady of King Hakan's court. Ever since she was little, Yvaine was fascinated by Narnia and all of the creatures who lived there. Most of all, she was curious about Aslan and the four sibling monarchs. When Yvaine hears about King Edmund's arrival, she leaps at the chance to ease her curiosity. Despite the tensions growing everywhere, Yvaine finds herself growing closer to the Narnian king. What will it take to save his kingdom? What can she possibly do to help? And most of all, how big of a mess will her complicated emotions make? DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Chronicles of Narnia or any of the lands and characters found within. I only take credit for my original characters and this story. WARNING: This book, while being a work of fiction, still contains real elements and deals with the subject of war. There will be chapters that deal with death, depression, slight gore, etc. ADDITIONAL NOTE: This story portrays the characters as they appeared in the live action films, although I have tried to incorporate more of their book details as well. This is just to clear up some things, such as Edmund's appearance. I based him off Skandar Keynes' portrayal of him. Completed November 17, 2020 *UNSOLICITED CRITICS MAY BE MUTED* see bio

During the very creation of Narnia, when the White Witch had not yet begun her reign, Aslan himself crafted a girl from Narnia itself...for it had been foretold that when the Heart of Narnia united with two Sons of Adam or two Daughters of Eve, they would bring an end to the White Witch's reign. Aslan then sends the girl away, placing her in a magic wardrobe and leaves her to be raised in our world, with only three memories: Her name: Lark, The prophecy long foretold, And another thing: Dirt, Water, Fire, Air, Light. Five words that haunt her dreams. Her life was normal enough... That is, until she met the Pevensies. Also, special thanks to @winifredsmith, who inspired me to write this. (this story is being rewritten [i shudder at my 10-year-old writing already] and all the chapters that have already been edited will be marked with roman numerals.)
