When Luz manages to succeed in saving Eda from the Emperor, her life goes back to normal for a little while. With Amity being absent from all the action, what with her broken foot being in the way, Luz decides to focus her attention and tend to her friend. It was only then she found out a new problem: Amity's life at home.

At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough?
