Where Sasuke goes after Naruto because he left. Also because he didn't feel all too welcome in the village he was brought up in. Big smiles can only last long enough before they vanish.
Naruto Uzumaki had always thought of leaving, there was this feeling of longing to see everything for himself and he felt caged in the village. His childhood gave him every right to leave, the harsh words, the attempted assassinations, near death beatings. The decision was up to him how he would then carry on with his life whether his choices were for better or worse.
Sasuke Uchiha has been alone most of his life without anyone, but Naruto soon came to fill the gaping hole in his heart. Although after his leaving he has gotten so much more distant to everyone, sometimes not ever associating with anyone, because of how desperate he feels towards running back to Naruto's warm embrace.
Sakura Haruno has been negative her whole life, she was brought up in a criticizing household. She has always taught to be negative about everything, except for loving someone. All the time her parents would say that all she needed was a man and they weren't wrong. But she went too far and caused too much damage.
Kakashi Hatake would care but doesn't know how to communicate because of his past and how he's been so alone for most of his life. And just maybe he would get out of the hell hole that caused him so much suffering.
Iruka Umino was a nice man with a dark past. His parents died in the war, he was left alone as a child. He had done so much to get to the point he was today, a chunin teacher at an elementary school. Was he happy, nope, he wouldn't say he was.
