The world was Cruel
So he wasn't surprised that he would pass away
At least... that was what he thought had happened to him
But instead, he found himself in a familiar yet not so world with a wonder as to what was to happen now here and in the future now that he was refusing to go back and giving the Dr. his memories
The other was having a happy life there
And he was having one just as, if not more so in his little garden

[Various Movie!Sonic x F!Reader] [6k-20k worded chapters] Lying down on a patchy field of grass, you stared up at the stars that laid above you, letting out a shallow breath as you took all of them in. For as long as you could remember, you had been alone for your whole life, staring at stars in the dead of night to try and feel at least a little closer to home. There was another person on this planet that was also alone and in almost the same situation as you, but that was different, this was different. You had been sent to Earth to protect him from the shadows, and you didn't plan on getting involved with him by any means. You were his guardian angel that he didn't even know existed, and you planned on keeping it that way. Well, at least you tried. After a while of watching the boy talk to himself and pout while kicking rocks, muttering how alone he was, you eventually found the heart to reveal yourself. Now, you were lying underneath the stars with the boy right next to you, his mouth spewing words at a speed you couldn't comprehend. But that didn't matter, all you really cared about was the hand that was in your own, squeezing it every now and then to know that you were still awake. That you were still by his side.
