L/N Y/N confessed to his childhood friend Ushijima Wakatoshi in their 2nd year of high school. But the response broke her heart instantly.

Ushijima: It'll be bothersome... you're distracting me...

Feeling that she might bother Ushijima if she stays around him. She starts to avoid him in order not to distract him.

Getting into different classes in their 3rd year, Y/N now is close with one of her classmates, Hisui Touma. As much as Ushijima said that Y/N distract him when she's around, not seeing her was more distracting. Especially when he saw her walking with another man.
