Entry no. 01 - Thursday (03/04/2021)

Hello, my name is Marilyn (pronounced as Marie-Line) but my family calls me Marie. I'm writing this crap because I read somewhere that writing down your thoughts and experiences can help with anxiety and such. And hey, I'm plenty anxious and stressed, so why the hell not? So I got you - my recount notebook (not journal because it sounds so pro and shit) - to write all my feelings down.

Get ready alright? I'll try to write as neat as I can, and if I'm confident in anything that would be my neat handwriting. This'll be my first time doing this, and my diary on 4th grade was a different type of thing so that doesn't count.

Be ready Recount - yes, I am naming you 'cause why not? - because you'll be the only one to know my deepest secrets and how much of a mess I am.

I guess, that's it for today.

Elliot's partner was his whole world, but after Allan's death, his ghost haunts Elliot's dreams. Everyone tells Elliot to move on, but he isn't sure he can. ***** It's been a year since the love of Elliot's life, Allan, passed away. Everyone thinks he should have recovered after that much time, but Allan still haunts Elliot every night. He struggles to maintain relationships with his family, and despite a coworkers interest he can't summon up the courage to date. Elliot is living for the past, because to live for the present means he'll have to live with a hole in his heart. But the question Elliot has to face chases him through his monotonous days: is mourning Allan with everything he has truly living? [[word count: 40,000-50,000 words]]
