There is the one reoccurring dream, and one reoccurring imaginary friend. And in all the insanity, there is one thing. One thing, among others, that I have not told a soul. One thing that could put people in danger. One thing like is complicated and difficult and absurd. My one special secret.

They were trouble. You could just tell by looking at them. They didn't talk to anybody, besides others in the group and people in our school spread stories about them all the time.
