He meets Kurroo and they instantly become best friends and grow up together. Kenma develops feelings and confesses to Kuroo, which leads to the friendship breaking and they become strangers. Kenma has a strong desire to become a volleyball coach due to a strong attachment to the sport because of a 'certain someone' and pursues his goal.
