Frank was obsessed with the paranormal. He was in high school, so obviously no one believed him when he said things about that. He loved to ghost hunt and try and find werewolves and vampires and things like that. He even had a bag prepared for the zombie apocalypse.
But then the new kid moved to his school. Gerard. Frank got a strange vibe from the other, and constantly tried to prove to others that Gerard was definitely not human.
Of course, no one believed him.
