I love the Descendants movies, but I wanted to evolve the characters past the maturity and ages of middle schoolers. Evil isn't about throwing hay at random people, evil is what people become when they have nothing left to lose and everything to gain.

If you're looking for relatable characters mixed with magic and adventure, then you should start reading this book.
