He was travelling to the land of Angels to kill the person who had his Father executed. It was a messy web between them, their Fathers hated each other and their Father's Father's did. She just wanted to get out of town, she hated the memories it held so she went with him on this suicide mission. (Bad description, I am actually proud of this story, although not many chapters they have about 1000 words in each. Maybe I'll write a second one if people like it, but I'm not sure. The Fanalis were a well-known people; the famed hunters and conquerors of the Dark Continent. With legs stronger than steel that could pierce a lion's heart with a single kick, they were a race to be feared. But also on the same land lived a dwindling race of people who were even more ferocious than the Fanalis. Rumored to fight like real monsters by ripping throats with sharp fangs, slicing to shreds with claws like daggers, and wielding the elements like gods in human form, this legendary race was believe to be naught but myth. The Drakonis. With their name akin to the mighty beasts of wing and scale, they fought with an unparalleled ferocity eagerly sought for by armies and empires. They were a deeply religious and strict society with laws that prevented outsiders from mingling to keep their bloodlines pure. As such their numbers began to dwindle and, with the ever growing demand for Drakonis and Fatalis slaves, their species became endangered. They could not be bred to produce more because each Drakonis can only choose one mate and can only have children with that one mate for the rest of their lives. If one mate was to die, then the other would feel like they had lost half their soul, but gaining a mate unlocks a Drakonis' full potential so not choosing a mate is like a bird never learning to fly. Purposeless. With their people hunted and lands razed, the mighty Drakonis faded into legend and their truths became gossip and the gossip became bedtime stories for children who wonder about adventure and travel. But there was one who hid her true identity, one who played human but always remembered her pride and home from whence she came. She took it upon herself to rebuild an empire for her people; one where they would not be threatened with extinction and isolation. ( rewrite ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they conquered the planet and imposed the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. Your best hunter, Renee Madison, will lead you." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, and not only her but her entire Town has to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.

I go by Artemis Blythe. I'm an ex-soldier turned murderer. I was charged with thirty murders and was subsequently sentenced to death. Preceding my execution, in a twist of fate, I was reborn in a child's body in a dog eat dog world ruled by two factions: Righteous and Demonic. I had two abilities in my arsenal: One let me cheat death, the other strengthened me the more I killed. I had two goals: One was to destroy the Righteous faction in its entirety, the second was to enjoy the hunt. I was named after the Goddess of the Hunt after all.
